This week Jess Perpat presents us a double dose of her weekly section. The inspiration of our illustrator has come by the hand of two matches in which the winning team achieved the triumph in duels but not in the total number of games.
The victory of Russia over Mexico especially affected Jess, who accepting the defeat of her country’s team with total sportsmanship admits that “I personally felt very sad and on behalf of this I drew a matryoshka covering a catrina”.
The second illustration of the week reflects the laborious, and unexpected by many, victory of Catalonia over the almighty Germany, current European champion. Jess was “happy to see how the Catalan team managed to beat Germany after losing to them in two international tournaments.”
Esta semana Jess Perpat nos presenta una dosis doble de su sección semanal. La inspiración de nuestra ilustradora ha venido de la mano de dos partidos donde el equipo ganador logró el triunfo en duelos pero no en juegos totales.
- El triunfo de Russia sobre Mexico afectó especialmente Jess, que aceptando la derrota del equipo de su país con total deportividad, admite que ” me sentí personalmente muy triste y en representación de ello dibujé una matrioshka cubriendo a una catrina”.
- La segunda ilustración de la semana refleja la laboriosa, e inesperada por muchos, victoria de Cataluña sobre la todopoderosa Alemania, actual campeona de Europa. A Jessi le “alegró ver como el equipo catalan consiguió ganar a Alemania después de perder con ellos en dos torneos internacionales”.
