The first knockout week of WTCOC21 has ended. Eight teams were looking to get one of the last four available quarterfinal places, where the 4 group winners await.
- A total of 4 matches, 20 duels and 51 Carcassonne games were played.
- Of the 20 duels, 9 ended in two games and 11 went to the third game.
- Of the 51 games, 3 ended in a draw.
- The teams of Russia and Catalonia qualify for the quarterfinals with a negative difference of a game won.
- The matches of Italy vs Czech Republic, Mexico vs Russia and Germany vs Catalonia were decided in the last game.
- GiulioTm from Italy took his duel winning two of the games by tie, having been the second to play in both games.
- Group A is the only group with three teams in the quarterfinals. Group B and C have two teams in the quarterfinals while Group D has only one team.
- Germany and Mexico are the only first seeded teams who do not qualify for the quarterfinals, Japan and Russia are still in the competition.
- The UK team is the only second-place group to qualify for the quarter-finals.
- The Catalan team had just lost against the German team 4-1 in the 2020 World Cup and 5-0 in the European championship. But this time they managed to beat them 3-2.

Culminó la primera semana de knockout en el WTCOC21 en la que ocho equipos estaban buscando obtener uno de los últimos cuatro lugares disponibles para cuartos de final, donde esperan los mejores de cada grupo.

- Las selecciones de Rusia y Cataluña califican a cuartos de final con diferencia negativa de un juego ganado.
- Los partidos de Italia vs República Checa, México vs Rusia y Alemania vs Cataluña se definieron en el último juego.
- GiulioTm de Italia venció en su duelo ganando dos de los juegos por empate, habiendo sido el segundo en jugar en ambos.
- El grupo A es el único que tiene tres equipos en cuartos de final. El grupo B y C tienen dos equipos en cuartos de final mientras que el grupo D solamente tiene un equipo.
- Alemania y México son los únicos cabeza de grupo que no califican a cuartos de final.
- La selección de Reino Unido es el único segundo lugar de grupo que calificó a cuartos de final.
- La selección de Cataluña venía de perder contra la selección de Alemania por 4-1 en el mundial de 2020 y por 5-0 en el campeonato europeo. Pero esta vez lograron vencerlos 3-2.
