Soc el Pere Vives i amb aquest text us dic fins aviat a tots.
La vida és un viatge ple de cicles i avui acaba la meva etapa a Carcassonne.cat. Tot seguit comparteixo una reflexió amb tots vosaltres, amants d’aquest fantàstic joc de taula.
L’any 2017, després de viure la meva primera gran experiència amb Carcassonne al campionat d’Espanya, vaig posar-me a treballar per crear Carcassonne.cat. Aquella idea boja, va acabar esdevenint tot un projecte local i transfronterer que amb els anys va revolucionar l’escena internacional de Carcassonne.
Tot va començar amb La Lliga Catalana, i en arribar la Covid-19, ens vam reinventar amb el mundial d’equips, el WTCOC, i l’europeu, l’ETCOC. Aquells durs moments van servir per traspassar fronteres i agermanar virtualment a persones de tot el món des de la petita Catalunya. Qui ens ho havia de dir?
Després, quan les coses van tornar a la normalitat, vam aconseguir una plaça pròpia com a catalans a Essen i vam reprendre la nostra activitat. Hem tingut a 3 catalans representant la nostra terra al mundial individual de Carcassonne, un fet realment històric, que vaig somiar anys abans i que em semblava una utopia. Ah, i hem estat semifinalistes d’un mundial per equips!
Ara, amb un panorama internacional ple de noves comunitats que organitzen nous campionats i amb la satisfacció d’haver format part d’aquest gran família, és l’hora de dir adeu i centrar les meves energies en nous reptes vitals i personals.
Moltes gràcies a tots els companys amb qui he compartit aquesta aventura a casa nostra. I moltes gràcies també a les següents persones de la comunitat internacional que m’han ensenyat que realment les fronteres són barreres imaginàries que no poden separar l’esperit de les persones: Melvin, Kerry, Oscaridis, Zocanero, Dan, Marian i Elias.
Finalment, un agraïment especial al Tony Barba de les oficines de Devir a Barcelona i al Thomas Moder de Spielezentrum pel seu ajut incondicional.

Life is a journey full of cycles and today my time at Carcassonne.cat ends.
In 2017, after having my first great experience of Carcassonne in the Spanish championship, I got to work creating Carcassonne.cat. That crazy idea ended up becoming a local and cross-border project that over the years revolutionized the international Carcassonne scene.
It all started with La Lliga Catalana, and when Covid-19 arrived, we reinvented ourselves with the World Team Carcassonne On line Championship (WTCOC), and the European Championship (ETCOC). Those hard moments served to cross borders and virtually unite people from all over the world from little Catalonia. Who would have imagined it?
Later, when things returned to normal, we got our own spot as Catalans in Essen and resumed our activity. We have had 3 Catalans representing our land in the Individual World Championship, something truly historic, which I dreamed of years before and which seemed like a utopia to me. Oh, and we have also managed to be semi-finalists in the World Team Carcassonne Championship!
Now, with an international panorama full of new communities that organize new championships and with the satisfaction of having been part of this great family, it is time to say goodbye and focus my energies on new vital challenges.
Many thanks to all the colleagues with whom I have shared this adventure in our land. And many thanks also to the following people from the international community who have taught me that borders are really imaginary barriers that cannot separate the spirit of people: Melvin, Pablo, Kerry, Oscaridis, Zocanero, Dan, Marian and Elias.
